David Ward Memorial Cup
George Hazell is the first recipient of the David Ward Memorial Cup, which will be awarded each year to the most improved player (by virtue of increase in grade). George's grade increased from 99 to 117 this year. To put this into perspective, only 84 players in the country (out of 15,000) managed to increase their grade by more! Well done George.

Club Championship
Sverre Spoelstra wins the 2006 club championship, flying in from Malmo to defeat 11 year old Brandon "The Wonderkid" Clarke in a tense final. Sevrre remarked afterwards that he felt this was the last time he would be able to defeat Brandon! Brandon was heard to say "He won't beat me next time!"

Harrod Cup Nightmare
7.30pm and Littlethorpe 1 HC captain Graham wonders where his board 1 player is. A quick telephone call reveals that he is at the wrong venue, something for which the aforementioned player has 'previous'! A Stirling Moss type drive back from Spinney Hill earns him a draw in his second game, but the team still lose. You want to know who the missing board 1 player was? Was it
